Shiver Lumber Co. has operated in Americus since April 1, 1900, when John Willis Shiver Sr. and his mother opened the location. The family-owned business serves Southwest Georgia with various building materials at fair prices. In 2015, the store expanded its offerings to include Nutrena Animal Feed products alongside traditional lumber supplies.
